Maybe Love Is too Blind....

Once upon a time there was a little boy…he was living on the 4th street in a beautiful city…he was living at nr 10… everyday he was playing in front of his house in little car…he was dreaming to drive a car like that but a bigger one like his father’s…

Days passed and he grew up… he went to school… then to high-school… he moved with his parents in an other neighborhood…

One day, when he was walking on his childhood’s streets, he saw something that he didn’t noticed before…a little window, with a floral curtain…he stood still looking at the window…suddenly a girl came to window…he didn’t saw such a beautiful person ever in his life…he felt in love in a moment…he was cursed by her big brown eyes…he couldn’t move ...not one step…he was hypnotized…in that moment he knew that this is love at first sigh…the thing that everyone talks but no one explains to him the real feeling…now he knew how it feels…the road back to his home seemed so short that he couldn’t thought so much at her…

Everyday he was making the same journey…he was walking a lot of km by foot…on rain...storm…snowfall…he was making the same detour in front of her window…

In that summer he made his first move...he put an iris at her window with a letter…in that letter he tried to talk about his feelings but he couldn’t…he didn’t knew her…what if she will run?!...what if she will not accept me?!...this is what he was thinking…

But he didn’t know that the girl was one of his friends in his childhood…they were playing everyday in the backyard… with his puppets… they were running her dog, Sally…they were so happy…but the years passed and when he went to school he forget her…after a year he totally forget all that…he forgot her and all that good old days…

After his move he waited a response…one day he met her on the street…when he saw her, he was very flustered, he didn’t knew what to say or to do…but she was walking straight to him…he stopped and looked ant her…he couldn’t believe that she was in front of him…he wanted to say something but he couldn’t …she came close to him and only looked in his eyes and whispered to him: “I know you”…he remained straight face:

-How? When? Tried the boy to say, stammering.

-Try to think…just for a second…

-I can’t think in this moment…

-I’ll tell you one day…goodbye…

And she left…he remained there for some minutes…this encounter made him think all over again at her…

Winter came and with her, he brought ugly and snowy days, with blizzards and cold nights…a couple of weeks he couldn’t reach to get to her…so he had only depressive days and nights when he was crying at the window and wishing to meet her again… after all that cold days passed and some sunny days came he went to her, wishing to find and talk to her…

He went to her house but when he arrived at her door he saw that the floral curtain was replaced by a black and ugly curtain…he knocked at the door and a skinny women answered…

-Good evening mrs.

-Good evening boy, said the old woman. Are you looking for something or somenone?

- Yes. At this house lives a girl. Ma’am?

- Lived, my boy…my daughter… Do you have any business with her?

- Yes ma’am. Why “lived” and not “is living”?

- Is dead my dear boy… and she start crying with hiccups. The boy couldn’t spell anything.

-How? When?! Why?!

-Last week…she get sick when winter came and last week she was very ill…she had pneumonia…yesterday were her funerals…

The boy felt like all his world drowned in a moment…he couldn’t feel his feet…his mouth…he couldn’t speak… he turned around and with little steps, he left the old woman talking by her own…

He felt like his whole world collapsed around him and he was sitting on a piece of ground trying to reach hope… his feet took him automatically to the graveyard…on the second row, there was her grave…a beautiful stone angel was guarding all that remained from her beauty…he kneeled near her gravestone and started crying on it… warm tears were falling on it, wetting the stone…in a corner of a grave he founded in a bunch of irises, a letter…he opened it and read: “I know what you feel deep inside your heart…and even if you won’t believe…I feel it the same… I love You… Forever… Maybe our love was meant to came true in heaven… I’ll wait you… Till we’ll meet again, so long my darling...”

The letter fall from his hands and his eyes couldn’t stop crying…and crying… a woeful yell came from his heart…
